In 1993, after receiving the State of California, Contractor's State License Board C-20 classification, (Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning), Bill Kurtley began his own business. Bill had been working for seventeen years in the HVAC trade; all but a few of those years were spent in Southern California. He started out there as an installer and rapidly worked his way up to the journeyman level, resulting in the management of several large track home projects throughout the years. With his extensive background in residential, commercial and individual custom homes, the eventuality of becoming a contractor in the future was always prevalent. This became reality once he got his license and took steps to start his own company.

Shortly after, Bill's wife Sue joined in the ranks of the underemployed as a former Sierra On-Line Employee. This fortunate turn of events created the perfect opportunity for her to utilize her extensive customer service and business skills implementing them in whatever way possible to build the family business, as our Business Manager.

In the meantime, a longtime friend of ours, John Ferguson, moved from Southern California to work for us. Working here for the past six years, John has become our Journeyman and is our most valuable employee.

Finally, our son Dustin returned from his tour as a firefighter with the U.S. Air Force. Having an opportunity to go to school and/or to work in the family business, he chose to do both. He attended the San Joaquin Valley College and gained the skills necessary and to do Heating and Air Conditioning service and repair. This proved to be a valuable asset to our company and has effectively given him the skills to be able to do any part of this business. After completing his training he became and remains our Service Manager.
